how did you attract/address your audience?


My first thoughts on how to make my magazine cover appeal to my audience was what image I was going to have on it. Baring in mind my recent discovery that subconsciously hip-hop magazines are reaching out to the male eye more, I chose to have a female model. I dressed her in minimal clothing, I did this as research I have carried out shown me that the more revealing and sexualised magazines covers sold more.
I then had to think about what I'm actually including in my magazine, I of course had to address well known hip-hop artists for my magazine to be taken seriously. I used texts such as 'Ana Sum; exclusive' and 'Beyoncé lathers up', to tease the audience and wanting them to buy to magazine to reveal what the catch lines really mean.
